The JLPT is the only international certification examination that is authorized by the Japanese government, and the University of Arkansas is an official U.S. host institution since 2008. JLPT certification will dramatically distinguish successful examinees in their future professional and academic endeavors.

-IMPORTANT NOTES-

Amid the cheating scandal in the December 2024 JLPT, The Japan Foundation has issued new guidelines about cell phones and smartphones. Because of serious consequences of the violations, all JLPT examinees must comply with the guidelines below:

Phones and camera-enabled devices must be turned OFF starting at check-in and remains off until all test sections are completed and the proctor dismisses, including breaks between sections.  If any such device is found to be powered ON at any time — whether it is being used or emits sound or vibrations — the examinees will be immediately disqualified.
