We offer classes in 11 languages, as well as 9 minors (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Russian and Classics) and 6 majors (Arabic, Classical Studies, French, German, Italian and Spanish).

Our department offers M.A. programs in French, German, and Spanish with a focus on literature and culture. The French and German programs now include a new component on language pedagogy and teaching technologies. The Spanish M.A. program offers two tracks: one focusing on literature and culture, and the other combining these with extensive training in language pedagogy and teaching technologies.
