Le Salon
Introducing Le Salon, a new, weekly French open office / informal conversation session / crafts session in French. Le Salon is open to all students who take French language courses. This is a great setting for students to chat in French, work on pronunciation, ask basic grammar questions, or discuss strategies for enhancing their French proficiency. Students who like crafts (crochet, knitting) may come work on a project and practice French at the same time! And of course, there will be coffee or tea, and the occasional French-themed treat (most likely in the form of chocolate...)
Le Salon takes place in JBHT 207. Students may drop in for a few minutes, or they may come and stay for the entire hour. Please contact Dr. Maria Comsa (mcomsa@uark.edu) if you have any questions.
French Film Series
Each semester, the French Film Series meets for several screenings of French and Francophone films. Screenings are in French with English subtitles and they are for educational purposes. Typically the French Film Series is held in the World Languages & Digital Humanities Studio (JBHT 207).
To learn when this semester's French Film Series is held, contact Maria Comsa (mcomsa@uark.edu) or check out the WLDH Studio's calendar at wldhs@uark.edu!
Students from all levels of French are welcome to attend.
La Table française
La Table française meets Thursdays 2:00-3:00 in the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio, JBHT 207, during the fall and spring semester.
