Because community is an important part of language and culture, we encourage all students to be active in organizations on campus that appeal to them and their studies. WLLC also has its own HogSync page!

African Students Organization (ASO)

The African Students organization (ASO) is an organization that provides a common meeting place for the promotion of social,cultural, and other interests, not only among students and other people from Africa but also among those people who appreciateand stand for African values. Additionally, ASO cultivates and further reciprocates understanding with members of Fayettevillecommunity and other people from all other the world, who found the Northwest Arkansas as their home.

Arab Students Association (ASA)

The objective of the Arab Student Association is to create a safe and welcoming environment for students of Middle Eastern descent and students who are interested in learning about Arab cultures, traditions, and customs.

Caribbean Students Association (CSA)

The Caribbean Student Club is dedicated to celebrating the rich and diverse cultures of the Caribbean while fostering a strong sense of community, support, and empowerment among students. Our mission is to promote cultural awareness, provide academic and personal support, advocate for the needs of Caribbean students, and build meaningful connections both within and beyond the university. Through cultural events, educational initiatives, leadership opportunities, and community engagement, we aim to create an inclusive space where Caribbean identity is honored and every student can thrive.

Japanese Student Association (JSA)

The Japanese Student Association is an international RSO at the University of Arkansas that aims to introduce Japanese culture to students, faculty, and others. Its activities throughout the academic year are organized via monthly meetings during both the fall and spring. These events may vary from fundraising events, where we vend popular Japanese food on campus, to Japanese movie exhibitions, and large, season-themed events. In these large events, we perform Japanese traditional dance, cater Japanese cuisine, and most importantly, present cultural activities including PowerPoint presentations and activity booths to let the audience experience some of the cultural aspects first-hand. Not only are we active within our own activities, but also we perform dances or give presentations in other RSOs’ events such as International Cultural Team, Chinese Student and Scholar Association, and Korean Student Association. Also, if you are interested in Japanese language learning, we have a network of Japanese native speakers and students who are enrolled in JAPN classes.

Mexican-American Student Association (MXSA)

As an organization, PSO's goal is to share our culture with students from the University of Arkansas and high schools in the North West Arkansas region. They host numerous events throughout the year where they present Panama's dances, music, and food.

Eurasian Club

The Eurasian Club aims to educate the general student population about various religious, linguistic, ethnic, and cultural groups of Russia and of the Russian-speaking communities living all over the world. The organization consists of students of different backgrounds and majors, all of whom are interested in the Russian language and exploring literature, languages, religions, and music across Eurasia.

South Asian Student Association

Committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community at the University of Arkansas. Our main objective is to assist South Asian international students in their transition to university life in the United States. We provide essential support services to help them adjust academically, socially, and culturally. SASA endeavors to cultivate a sense of belonging among South Asian students by organizing various events, gatherings, and networking opportunities. Additionally, we aim to promote awareness and appreciation of South Asian culture through educational activities and exhibitions. SASA promotes diversity and inclusion campus-wide, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds to participate and contribute positively.
